HOW WE PRINT

“I am fanatical about quality reproduction of my artwork, as I want you to have the best.

My goal is to create great art, and get you museum-quality reproductions with multiple size choices to suit your space, shipped to you as quickly as possible, at a reasonable price.

I create all my art as original pieces, then photograph each art piece at ultra-high-resolution using a Nikon HDSLR 24.2-megapixel DX format camera with special lighting system to adjust intensity, color, and shape of the light emitted, to create a natural light reproduction. I then adjust each image to ensure it is color graded and true to the original color of the paint on the canvas - in natural light.

I work with Gooten, one of the highest quality, museum grade reproduction art printers in the world.

Gooten is known by great artists as one of the highest quality, enterprise grade reproduction art printers in the world. Each reproduction art piece you purchase on my site, is typically reproduced/printed and shipped to you within 1-3 days of you purchasing, where it will then be shipped to you from one of 75+ locations worldwide to almost anywhere in the USA or across the globe. Gooten has processed and shipped 4 million+ products with less than a 2% error rate and 95% ship-on-time rate over the past 5 years. (Please bear with me…. if you should ever have a glitch or quality problem, contact me so I can work quickly to rapidly resolve any print issue with you, my valued customer, to your satisfaction).

It starts with high quality materials and techniques.

I create all my art as original pieces using the highest quality Liquitex professional heavy body acrylic paints made with museum-quality, high viscosity, pigment rich, lightfast satin finish paint, giving my art a rich, permanent color, rated ASTM I (excellent) considered permanent and lightfast for 50-100+ years in gallery conditions.

The finest techniques to photograph and duplicate my art.

I paint onto archival-quality, acid free, natural cotton/linen gesso canvas stretched around 1.5" profile kiln-dried sustainably grown wood stretcher bars. I photograph each piece of art at ultra-high-resolution using a special lighting system, using reflectors and diffusers to adjust intensity, color, and shape of the light emitted, to create a natural light reproduction. I use a Nikon HDSLR 24.2-megapixel DX format camera to capture pure, lifelike rich color images, which I then adjust each image to ensure it is color graded and true to the original color of the paint on the canvas - in natural light.

The latest technologies... provide extraordinary color reproduction, and the incredible archival quality of inkjet reproduction printing.

I have chosen today’s latest technology inkjet printing process to reproduce my work. This innovative technology has come a long way, with extraordinary color reproduction, and the incredible quality of inkjet reproduction printing is now accepted (along with C-prints) in high quality galleries and museums worldwide. Inkjet pigment prints will outlast C-prints (or lessor quality Laser prints) by a wide margin, and as C-prints are dye-based, they are more susceptible to deterioration than inkjet pigment prints when exposed to light, heat and humidity, even when framed behind glass.

Pigment ink prints can last for over 200 years on archival paper.

Inkjet pigment ink prints can last for over 200 years on archival paper, (longer than the original paint on the canvas!) under proper environmental and display conditions, in contrast to C-prints which have a true life of only 30-40 years. Today’s professional inkjet pigment printers can reproduce colors beyond that of the Adobe RGB color space, into Pro Photo RGB territory - the only color space large enough to contain all the colors a camera’s sensor can capture.

Inkjet printers use a greater range of color inks, both dye and pigment, than any other printing process, and Inkjet pigment prints exhibit greater contrast, smoother color gradations, deeper blacks (Dmax), and finer shadow details than chemical dye prints.

Environmentally friendly printing.

Additionally, eco-friendly Inkjet printing is more environmentally responsible choice for your home environment (no chemicals), for businesses like mine (reducing carbon footprint, energy and chemicals), ….and for the planet as a whole.

With over 75 locations worldwide my printer is able to dropship from the closest geographic location to the end recipient, thereby minimizing carbon emissions from transportation - every contributor plays a part in a sustainable ecosystem.

You can choose multiple sizes from small to very large, glossy or matt finish, on archival paper or canvas... and even art framing options.

You can choose multiple sizes and print options including Glossy or Lustre (a hybrid of gloss and matt paper that has a lower light reflection) paper reproduction, canvas reproduction, and can even choose to have your art framed within the buying and reproduction process, to enhance the space where you will hang it.

Multiple size options ensures you get the wall art piece that is best tailored and size to be hung in your unique space, to capture the essence of today's style…. as truly unique as you.
